Microsoft Planner: Simplify Your Organization

Organizing in a business can be a daunting task, at all levels. Many different software programs offer services to organize your tasks, your days and the management of your documents. Microsoft offers a solution – called Planner – for managing your work,  tasks or projects, and it can be very effective when combined with other Microsoft tools. Here’s how Microsoft Planner can help you manage your daily tasks:

Daily Task Management, Individually or in Collaboration

Coordinating and managing your work with other members of a team can be complex. But Microsoft Planner allows each individual to manage their own working time, according to the projects they have in common with other members of their team. Planner provides several tables in order to manage multiple in progress projects. These tables allow for the development of tasks, as well as the assignment of responsibility. As a result, each table can be associated with conversations, attachments or notes stored in SharePoint Online.

Track Tasks

Microsoft’s tool also allows you to keep track of which tasks have been assigned to you, or which you have assigned to someone else. You can see if the task is not yet started, in progress, overdue or completed.

Thanks to the project manager, you will be able to control your schedule in tandem with your collaborators. You will also be able to keep an eye on the progress of each of the tasks in which you are involved.

The Advantages of Microsoft Planner

One of the main strengths of Microsoft Planner is its ability to integrate with other tools in the Microsoft suite – such as Outlook, Teams and Project. This means all of your data works together, across all platforms.

Also, each of the documents or files shared on the Planner platform are automatically stored in SharePoint, allowing quick access to documents needed for collaboration.

Another advantage of Planner is its ease of use. However, it should be remembered that Microsoft has a more advanced project management solution, Microsoft Project, available as well.

In short…

Microsoft Planner is a great tool for easily managing your personal or team tasks. If you want to learn more about this solution, or if you want to take training on Microsoft Planner, contact an expert.
