5 New Features Of Microsoft Teams To Make Your Meetings A Success!

The use of Microsoft Teams for online meetings has been growing since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. As must-have software in the Microsoft 365 suite, developers regularly improve it to better meet users’ needs. Here we present to you 5 new features of Microsoft Teams that will help you succeed in your online meetings!

1. Lock Your Meetings

With the proliferation of online meetings, the number of cases of zoombombing (unwanted intrusions into a meeting by hackers) has been on the rise – and often makes the rounds in the media. Through its application for computers, it is now possible to lock a Teams meeting in order to prevent anyone from joining after it has started. This option can be activated in the “Participants” panel of the meeting.

2.Check The Quality Of Your Calls

When call quality is poor, each user wonders whether the problem is theirs or not. From now on, Microsoft will offer a call quality monitoring tool to answer this question! This option provides real-time information on network, video, sound and screen sharing, to quickly find the source of a problem when it occurs.

3. Forward Your Calls From One Device To Another

With an increasingly hybrid work environment, it is not uncommon to start a call on your computer and then have to travel. To better respond to this reality, Microsoft has implemented a call transfer option that allows you to simply join an ongoing Microsoft Teams call from another device. This option will appear on all of the Microsoft Teams applications, on each different device to which the user is connected with the same account!

4. Lower Participant’s Raised Hands

During a meeting, attendees can show their intent to contribute by virtually raising their hand. In the list of participants, the meeting organizer will be able to see who has their hand raised, and lower all hands at the same time, in order to make room for further interventions.

5. Translate Your PowerPoint Automatically, And Use The Laser

Being integrated into the Microsoft 365 suite, Microsoft Teams makes it easy and efficient to share PowerPoint presentations. In order to better attract the attention of participants, it is now possible to use a virtual laser pointer on slides, and draw on them directly to make the presentation more interactive! In addition, Microsoft allows PowerPoint to be automatically translated into no less than 19 languages!

In short…

Microsoft Teams has become a staple over the past few months for calls, meetings, and webinars. The Microsoft firm, located in Redmond, works every day on the integration of new features to better meet the needs of each user.
